Advances in renal care to take centre stage at landmark healthcare event

CVRM Professional Care will put renal health in the spotlight, exploring how advances in care can improve outcomes for people living with complex and interconnected conditions.

With a focus on adopting a cardiovascular-renal-metabolic (CVRM) mindset, sessions will examine the challenges of managing chronic kidney disease (CKD) alongside multiple conditions and the opportunities for more integrated care.

Taking place on October 20 and 21 at Olympia, London, CVRM Professional Care will tackle some key issues shaping CKD care, including finerenone in practice, preventing referral boomerangs, and defining responsibilities across the CKD pathway.

The programme will feature leading voices in nephrology, including Dr Katey Flowers, Consultant Nephrologist at the Wessex Kidney Centre, Dr Andrew Frankel, Consultant Nephrologist at Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust, and Professor Debasish Banerjee, Consultant Nephrologist at St George’s University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.

Alongside developing knowledge within their own specialities, delegates will be encouraged to look beyond traditional boundaries, building a clearer picture of how cardiovascular, renal and metabolic conditions interact and how this can shape patient care.

Matt Hodgins, Event Director for CVRM Professional Care, said: “Renal care is evolving rapidly, and there is a real opportunity to bring greater attention to the role it plays within the wider picture of long-term condition management.

“We want to give those working in renal care a platform to share their experience, challenge established thinking and explore what better care could look like for patients at every stage of their journey.”

CVRM Professional Care will bring together diabetes, cardiovascular, renal and metabolic specialists in one place. Organised by CloserStill Media, CVRM Professional Care is the UK’s largest event focused on the holistic care and management of long-term conditions.
