Consultant Nephrologist, Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust
Dr Andrew Frankel has been a Consultant Nephrologist at Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust since 1995. He has extensive experience in all aspects of kidney disease, with particular expertise in diabetic kidney disease, cardiorenal metabolic medicine and strategies to prevent progression of chronic kidney disease. He is Co-Lead for Chronic Kidney Disease Prevention and Cardiorenal Metabolic Disease for the London Kidney Network and has led major service transformation programmes locally, regionally and nationally. Dr Frankel has published widely, contributed to UK national guidelines on diabetes and kidney disease, and was joint editor of the UK Kidney Association SGLT2 inhibitor and JBDS dialysis diabetes guidelines.
