Dr Matt Kearney OBE is CEO of Into-Action.Health with a background in General Practice. He has many years’ experience as a national leader in cardiovascular disease prevention and was awarded an OBE for services to health and CVD prevention in 2025. From 2016 to 2019, Matt was National Clinical Director for Cardiovascular Disease Prevention in England, where he led development of the CVD prevention element of the 2019 NHS Long Term Plan. From 2019 to the present he has worked as a senior advisor to UCLPartners. He has founded and led several major initiatives designed to transform prevention in primary care, including CVDPREVENT, Size of the Prize, the Proactive Care Frameworks and CVDACTION. His work focuses on using data, clinical insight and new ways of working to improve identification and optimisation of high-risk conditions, in order to prevent heart attacks, strokes and other life changing events at scale.
