Sophie Harris
Diabetes & Internal Medicine Consultant,
King's College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust
I am a Consultant Physician in Diabetes and Internal Medicine at King’s College Hospital, a national clinical leader and implementation specialist focused on improving outcomes for people living with diabetes through innovation, technology and service transformation. My work brings together clinical practice, digital health, implementation science and health inequalities, with a particular interest in scaling evidence-based innovations across healthcare systems.
I serve as National Clinical Lead for Type 1 Diabetes Technology Implementation in England, supporting the equitable adoption of Hybrid Closed Loop systems and the redesign of diabetes pathways needed to maximise their impact. Working across NHS England, Integrated Care Systems, providers and Health Innovation Networks, my focus is on translating innovation into measurable improvements in outcomes, experience and equity.
Alongside this role, I am Clinical Director of Diabetes at the South London Health Innovation Network and Co-Director of the Diabetes, Endocrinology and Obesity Clinical Academic Partnership at King’s Health Partners. Over the past decade, I have led large-scale programmes in diabetes technology, digital health, self-management support, service redesign and population health improvement, helping to bridge the gap between strategy and delivery.
